"Sharing the Peace and Love of the Nation"

Shincheonji Seoul James Tribe volunteers went to the Seoul National Cemetery on June 23rd, ahead of the 65th Anniversary of the Korean War.

The Seoul National Cemetery was established as a national cemetery on July 15th, 1955 to bury the nation’s dead and to keep the souls of those who sacrificed their lives for their country.

The memorial tower pays our respect to the souls of heroes who sacrificed their lives for their country

Shincheonji Seoul James Tribe volunteers paid silent tribute before the cleanup to the souls of the heroes and patriotic martyrs lying in Seoul National Cemetery and who were sacrificed protecting our country during its struggles for independence.

When I think about our patriotic martyrs and the souls of the heroes who sacrificed their precious lives as well as their mindsets of dedication and love for our country and people, I feel infinitely ashamed and solemn.

Shincheonji Seoul James Tribe volunteers paid tribute to the patriotic martyrs and the souls of the heroes and gave thanks for their sacrifice while they performed their annual June volunteer work at Seoul National Cemetery.

On this day, about 60 volunteers participated in the volunteer work at the Seoul National Cemetery. They removed the weeds around 26 of the 56 total sections of the cemetery and picked up trash around the vicinity.

This was a precious time to remember the patriotic martyrs and the soul of heroes

When we go about our routine lives, we can easily forget the people who sacrificed themselves for our nation. But in performing our volunteer work at Seoul National Cemetery, we could spend some meaningful time as well as paying our respects.

We will continue to remember the sacrifice of the patriotic martyrs and the souls of heroes as a living part of Korea's history.

"Hukgong died gloriously, and he will never be lonely.
Your young soul will shine forever...”

“He did not live to become a big star in this land.
Instead, he became many stars up in the sky."

I felt pain in the center of my heart as I read the letters on the tombstones of those who faced down the tragedy of our ethnic whirlpool and died as if their lives only had the value of bits of straw. I also imagined a mother's chagrin and the screams buried in her soul and the souls of the heroes who sacrificed themselves in the call of our country.

We hope that the past tragedies of history never happen again

The thing we can do is to live in this current era as descendants who are interested in uniting and supporting our nation, both South and North Korea, in peace.

Above all things, Korea was established through the efforts of our patriotic martyrs and the souls of the heroes who died for our nation so that it can avoid repeats of the painful wars of the past.

We will continue with this newsletter of volunteer work. ^_____^
