Quiet Time Shincheonji' Bible Study, The Clothes of One’s Heart and Mind

Two types of clothes are physical clothes and the clothes of one’s heart. The title of today’s article is, “The Clothes of One’s Heart and Mind.”

육체를 가려주는 옷과 마음의 옷, 두 가지가 등장한다. 오늘의 글 제목은 사람의 마음과 정신의 옷이다. 

What are the clothes of a person’s heart and mind? 

These clothes are referring to the clothes of one’s heart—not the physical that clothes one’s body. These clothes cannot be washed clean in a washing machine. 

사람의 마음과 정신의 옷은 어떤 것인가? 이는 육신을 가리는 옷이 아니요 마음의 옷이니, 이 옷을 세탁기에 넣어도 깨끗해지지 않는다. 

Anyone can wash physical clothes, but who will go inside a person’s heart and mind and wash these clothes white? 

육신이 입고 있는 옷은 무엇으로라도 빨아 희게 할 수 있다. 그러나 마음과 정신 속에 있는 옷은 누가 이 속에 들어가 빨아 희게 할 것인가? 

The mixed anguish that causes the formless confusion within a person entangles him. Such is a mixed color that appears as his thoughts and actions and covers the person’s original color.

Because it is covered, the original color cannot shine through and be seen.  

혼돈케 하는 혼합된 번뇌가 나를 얽매고 있어, 혼합된 색깔로 나타나는 것이 나의 생각이요 행동이다. 혼합된 색이 본색을 덮어, 본색이 보이지도 않고 비치지도 못하고 있다. 

What can we be washed and be worn? 

It is written in Isaiah 1:18 that God, with reasoning, will make a sinner white as snow.

이사야 1장 18절에 하나님은 변론으로 죄인을 눈과 같이 희게 하신다 하셨다. 

Apostle Peter also said, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” (1 Pt 1:23).

베드로는 “너희가 거듭난 것이 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니, 하나님의 말씀으로 된 것이라.”고 하셨다(벧전 1:23).

John 17:17-19 states that one is sanctified by the truth. Therefore, the clothes of one’s heart and mind can be washed by the word of revelation from the holy God that is the water of life as clear as crystal flowing from the throne.  

요한복음 17장(17-19절)에는 진리로 거룩하게 된다고 하였다. 그러므로 마음과 정신의 옷은 보좌에서 흘러내리는 수정 같은 생명수, 거룩하신 하나님의 계시의 말씀이다으로 씻을 수 있다.

Who can enter a person’s heart and mind and wash away the mixed colors? 

Washing away the mixed colors from one’s heart and mind is washing away the stains of the mixed sins. Without first resolving that which is covered in sin, one cannot know other things.  

이 마음과 정신 속에 누가 들어가 무엇으로 혼합된 색깔들을 제할 것인가? 마음과 정신 속의 혼합된 색깔들을 제하는 것이 혼합된 죄를 씻는 것이다. 죄로 가리워진 것을 해결하지 않고는 다른 것을 알지 못한다. 

God’s Spirit enters a heart that already contains the Word. When the spirit of God enters a heart that contains the Word of life, the rotting filth (sin) will be washed by the blood, which is life.  

하나님의 신은 말씀이 먼저 마음에 들어가 있어야 들어갈 수 있다. 하나님의 생명의 말씀이 들어 있는 마음에 하나님의 신이 들어가시면, 오래된 만 가지 오물(죄)을 생명이신 피의 말씀으로 씻게 된다. 

Those who become the great multitude dressed in white by washing their sins with Jesus’ blood have become righteous. Anyone who wishes can be washed white by Jesus’ blood and become the great multitude dressed in white.

죄를 피로 씻음 받아 흰 무리가 된 자들은 의인이 된 것이다. 누구든지 원하는 자는 예수님의 피로 씻어 흰 무리가 된다.

On the contrary, People like the Pharisees and the teachers of the law at the First Coming are going against Jesus and God's work—the work of washing the filth (sin) in people’s hearts—in every way possible.

이와 반대로 초림때 서기관들과 바리새인들과 같은 사람들은 예수님과 하나님의 일, 마음의 옷에 묻은 오물 곧 죄 씻는 일을 못 하도록 갖은 방해를 다하고 있다.

Jesus is the Son of the Word, for he is the Son of God who is the Word. Jesus is the Word, because he had been born of the Word.  In short, Jesus is life in itself and the Word that is living and active. This very blood of Jesus, which is the Word of life, enters our hearts to wash it back to its original color. 

말씀이신 하나님의 아들이 예수님이므로, 예수님은 말씀의 아들이요, 말씀의 씨로 났으므로 예수님도 말씀인 것이다. 곧, 예수님은 살아 있는 생명이고, 살아 있는 말씀이다. 이 생명의 말씀인 예수님의 피가 우리 마음에 들어가 마음의 옷을 빨아 본래와 같이 희게 하신 것이다.
