Shincheonji Truth ; The reports of CBS were a distortion of the facts!

Christian media such as CBS, KMIB, etc. and Old denomination pastors have been slandering Shincheonji Church of Jesus Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman: Man Hee Lee, Shincheonji) by distorting meanings of Shincheonji’s teachings (doctrines). 

I am hopeful misunderstanding about Shincheonji Church of Jesus Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony will be rectified very quickly.

The following contents shows truth and represent distorted proclaims from old denominations.

CBS와 국민일보 등 기독교언론과 기성교단 목회자들이 신천지 예수교 증거장막성전(총회장 이만희·이하 신천지예수교회)을 비방하기 위해 성경적, 교리적 부분까지 심각하게 왜곡하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기성교단 측의 대표적 왜곡 사례와 그 진실은 다음과 같다.

Claiming the end of the World???

We, Shincheonji firmly say there is no ‘end of the earth’. As we pray, thy kingdom come in the Lord’s Prayer (Mt 6:10), God wants to dwell in this world through the bible (Re 1:8).

On the other hand, people who insists the end of the earth were all big church pastors in the 1990s who constantly said there is no need of planning in the 21th century. 

Talking about rapture and ‘churches going up to heaven’ were what all old denomination famous pastors would claim.

‘시한부 종말론’을 주장한다? 신천지예수교회는 ‘지구의 종말’은 없다고 단언한다. 주기도문을 통해 ‘나라이 임하옵시며’라고 기도하듯(마6:10) 하나님은 성경을 통해 이 세상에 임하길 원하신다. 오히려 시한부 종말론의 주창자들은 지난 1990년대 ‘21세기 목회 계획이 없다’고 주장한 대형교회 목사들이며 ‘교회가 하늘로 올라간다’는 등의 황당한 ‘휴거’주장을 했던 기성교단의 유명 목사들이다.

The end of the age 

The end of the age mentioned in the Bible does not refer to the end of the universe, the end of the earth, or even the end of humanity. It does, however, refer to the end of a generation of believers. 

The end of the age, or the end of the world, is not in regards to the world of unbelievers, but to the world of believers. 

And the reason the end of the age comes is because of its corruption.

성경의 종말(말세)이라는 말은 세상 사람이나 지구와 우주를 가리켜 한 말씀이 아니고, 신앙인에 대해 한 말씀이다. 말세 또는 종말이라는 말은 불신(不信) 사회를 말한 것이 아니고 신앙 세계를 말한 것이다.  말세가 된 것은 부패로 인한 것이다.

The false god and the true God

As recorded, there are religions of a false god, state religions, cultural religions, heretical religions, and the religion of the true God in heaven. A religion established arbitrarily by a false god and false prophet is called a pseudo religion or a false religion.

Religion is not defined by the size of the congregation. It must come from heaven through a revelation. 

기록된바 종교는 하늘의 참 하나님의 종교도 있고 가짜 하나님의 종교도 있으며, 그 나라의 국교가 있고 문화적인 종교도 있으며 사교도 있다. 가짜 하나님과 가짜 선지자가 사적으로 자의적으로 만든 종교, 이것이 사이비 가짜 종교이다. 종교는 사람(교인)의 수에 매인 것이 아니며, 하늘에서 온 것이다. 

About 2,000 years ago, of all the people in the world, it was the Israelites, the descendants of Abraham, who were God's only chosen people. Ultimately, they succeeded in crucifying Jesus. How is it that God’s one and only chosen people, who were longing to see their savior, killed Jesus (God) instead of accepting him? 

God, who had united with Jesus, said, "You people [the Israelites] are from your father the devil," (Jn 8:44). The god the Israelites were serving and bowing down to three times a day was actually the devil. 

The Bible distinguishes the one true God from false gods (Jn 15:1; Jn 17:3). The Physical Israelites served a false god as the true God. That false god, in fact, was the devil pretending to be the true God. 

2천 년 전 당시 아브라함의 자손인 이스라엘 민족은 온 세계 중 유일하게 하나님을 믿고 섬기는 선민이었다. 지구촌 중에 하나밖에 없는 선민이 어찌하여 기다리고 기다리던 구원자인 예수님 곧 하나님을 영접하지 않고 죽였는가? 당시 하나님과 하나 된 예수님은 그들에게 말씀하시기를 ‘너희(선민 이스라엘 사람들)가 하나님을 아버지라 하나, 하나님은 너희 아버지가 아니요, 너희 아버지는 마귀다.’라고 하셨다(요 8:44). 그들이 하루에 세 번씩 절하며 섬겨 온 그 하나님이 마귀였던 것이다. 성경에는 참 하나님과 가짜 하나님이 있다(요 15:1, 17:3 참고). 육적 이스라엘은 가짜 하나님을 참 하나님으로 섬겼다는 것이다. 이 가짜 하나님은 마귀였고, 마귀가 하나님 행사를 한 것이었다.

The churches of tradition did not believe in God’s promises

At the time of the second coming—the time of Revelation’s fulfillment and of the end of the religious world—just like at the time of the first coming, the world of churches and faith have become corrupt world.

God fulfilled His promises in each era, but the churches of tradition followed their traditions and did not believe in God’s promises, the prophecies. 

Why? They believed only in their traditions and had no idea that they betrayed the covenant of God. This was the same sin that Adam and Israel committed.

오늘날 종교 말년(종말)인 계시록의 주 재림 때 역시 초림 때와 같이 온 세계는 사단의 세계로 변모되었다. 하나님은 시대마다 약속한 것을 이루셨다. 하지만 전통 신앙인들은 전통만 믿고 하나님의 예언 곧 약속을 믿지 않았다. 그 이유가 무엇인가? 이는 자기들의 전통만 믿고, 자기들이 하나님과의 언약을 배반한 것에 대해서는 생각조차 못 하고 있기 때문이었다. 아담의 죄도, 하나님과 언약한 이스라엘의 죄도 바로 이것이었다.

God’s will is to reclaim the world He lost to Satan

God’s will is to reclaim the world He lost to Satan and restore it to its original state, into the image and likeness of God (Rv 21:1-7).

Believers must go into the words of the Bible and the God's will learn in detail in order to be saved.

하나님의 뜻은 사단에게 잃은 것을 다시 찾아 본래와 같이 회복하심으로 본래의 하나님의 모양과 형상으로 소생시키자는 것이다(계 21:1-7).  신앙인들은 구원받기 위해 성경 말씀 안으로 들어가 하나님의 뜻을 상세하게 알아야 한다.

Shincheonji Church on a Dramatic Growth

A few years ago, MBC’s documentary show called “PD Note” had humiliated Shincheonji, by broadcasting false and distorting coverage. After the coverage of PD Note, the investigation about shincheonji has started.

After numerous time-consuming investigations from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, police, and prosecutor’s office, they failed to prove the charges. MBC cannot possibly compensate Shincheonji for the damages even with all their possession.

And despite the distorted reports by the media, Shincheonji church is rapidly growing everyday. This is victory, God’s victory.

몇년 전에 MBC PD수첩에서 100분 간 허위․왜곡 방송을 함으로 신천지를 매도하였다. PD수첩 보도 이후, 신천지에 대한 조사가 시작되었다. 문광부 및 경찰과 검찰 조사 결과는 ‘혐의 없음’이었다. 이후 PD수첩은 정정보도 및 반론보도를 할 수밖에 없었다. 하지만 왜곡된 방송 중에도 신천지는 날로 날로 급성장하고 있으니 이것이 승리 곧 하나님의 승리이다.

Old denominations, using absurd contents as Shincheonji teachings to slander

Christian media such as CBS, KMIB, etc. and Old denomination pastors have been slandering Shincheonji Church of Jesus Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman: Man Hee Lee, Shincheonji) by distorting meanings of Shincheonji’s teachings (doctrines). 

Even though they proclaim their action is for criticizing doctrine; however, their insistence are very different from Shincheonji’s doctrine. By slandering distorted example, it is considered as one of many falsified reports. 

The following contents shows truth and represent distorted proclaims from old denominations.

기성교단 측, 엉뚱한 내용을 ‘신천지 교리’라며 비방거리 삼아

CBS와 국민일보 등 기독교언론과 기성교단 목회자들이 신천지 예수교 증거장막성전(총회장 이만희·이하 신천지예수교회)을 비방하기 위해 성경적, 교리적 부분까지 심각하게 왜곡하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이들은 교리비판이라고 주장하지만 신천지예수교회에서 가르치는 내용과 전혀 다른 엉뚱한 내용을 ‘신천지 교리’라고 주장하고 이를 비방거리로 삼고 있다는 점에서 허위 비방의 또 하나의 사례로 꼽히고 있다. 기성교단 측의 대표적 왜곡 사례와 그 진실은 다음과 같다.

You do not die if you attend church of shincheonji???

The criticism is coming from places of unbelief in “hope of eternal life” in the biblical point of view. 

All Christians cannot deny God has promised about eternal life (Ps133:3, Jn3:15-16, Jn5:39, Jn6:40, Tit1:2, 1Jn5:13). However, only God knows when the promise of giving eternal life is fulfilled (Act1:7, 1Th5:1). 

The congregation members of Shincheonji are putting efforts not to lose “hope of eternal life” according to the scripture saying be alert and self-controlled (1Th5:6).

This is the basic lifestyle of Christians who perceived the bible righteously. 

신천지예수교회에 가면 죽지 않는다? 

이는 성경상의 ‘영생의 소망’을 전혀 이해하지 못한데서 나온 비방이다. 하나님이 성경에 영생을 약속하신 것은 기독교인이라면 누구도 부인하지 못할 것이다.(시133:3, 요3:15~16, 요5:39, 요6:40, 딛1:2, 요일5:13) 그러나 영생을 주시겠다는 하나님의 약속이 이뤄지는 날은 하나님만 아신다고 했다.(행1:7, 살전5:1) 신천지예수교회 성도들은 이러한 날을 위해 늘 깨어 근신하라(살전5:6)는 성경 말씀대로 ‘영생의 소망’을 저버리지 않도록 노력하는 것이다. 이는 성경을 바로 깨달은 기독교인이라면 반드시 가져야 할 기본자세이다.

Let us examine eternal life and death since the creation of the world!

Genesis 2 and 3 says that eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which is the wild serpent or the tree of death, leads to death and eating from the tree of life leads to eternal life. God drove Adam out of the garden of Eden and placed cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life, lest he should reach out to the tree of life and eat its fruit and live forever (Gn 3:22-24).

Likewise, Jesus spoke in parables in Mt 13 to prevent the serpents, the pastors of Satan, from understanding the secret of the kingdom of heaven. He was worried they might know it and be saved.

영생과 죽음에 대해 창세로부터 있었던 것을 살펴본다.
창세기 2장과 3장에 들뱀 곧 사망의 나무인 선악을 알게 하는 나무의 과실을 먹으면 죽고, 생명나무 과실을 먹으면 영생한다고 하셨다. 그러므로 하나님은 선악과를 먹은 아담이 손을 들어 생명나무 과실을 따먹고 영생할까 하여, 에덴 동산에서 내어쫓고 들어오지 못하게 두루 도는 화염검(火焰劍)과 그룹들로 그 길을 지키게 하셨다(창 3:22-24).
이와 마찬가지로 예수님은 마태복음 13장에서 뱀 곧 사단의 목자들이 천국 비밀을 알고 구원받을까 두려워서 깨닫지 못하게 비유로 말씀하셨다.

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life

In Rom 8:5-8, Apostle Paul states, “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life. The thoughts of the flesh and the thoughts of the Spirit are different and the same is true about death and life. And the sinful mind is hostile to God.”

As Adam, a living being, returned to the flesh and died (Gn 3:19), there came to be a division between a man of the flesh and a man of the Spirit in Gn 6.

The breath of life, which is God’s word, makes a man of the flesh reborn and transforms him into a new creation.

사도 바울이 로마서(롬 8:5-8)에서 “육신의 생각은 사망이요, 영의 생각은 영생이며, 육신의 생각은 하나님과 원수가 된다.”고 하였다. 육신의 생각과 영의 생각이 다르고, 죽고 사는 것도 그러하다. 생령인 아담이 육으로 돌아가 죽었으니(창 3:19), 창세기 6장과 같이 육의 사람이 있고 신령한 사람이 있다. 이는 생기인 하나님의 말씀이 육의 사람을 다시 나게 하고, 새로운 피조물로 거듭나게 함이라.

Jesus, who spoke in parables during his first coming, called himself the living bread from heaven in John 6. He said that whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood has eternal life.

Since the disciples did not understand it, however, Jesus added, “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.”

예수님은 초림 때 비유로 말씀하셨고, 요한복음 6장에 자기를 하늘에서 내려온 떡이라 하시며, 떡인 자기의 피와 살을 먹음으로 영생이 있다고 하셨다. 이 말에 대해 제자들이 이해하지 못함을 보고, 예수께서 “살리는 것은 영이니 육은 무익하니라. 내가 너희에게 이른 말이 영이요 생명이라.”고 말씀하셨다.

The immortal and the imperishable

Let us take a look at 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. Those whose flesh dies when they are in the Lord will live again as a spiritual body at the last trumpet (the seventh trumpet).

We, who have flesh, will be changed so that the mortal will become the immortal and the perishable will become the imperishable. 

This is not solely referring to the spirit, but to both the spirit and the flesh. 

Revelation 20:4-6 says that the spirits of those beheaded because of the word of God and we who are alive today will participate in the first resurrection together and reign with Christ for a thousand years. This applies not only to the spiritual beings, but also to the people with physical bodies. 

Considering the fact that Adam and Methuselah lived for almost a thousand years, we can confidently believe that those who receive the atonement of sin will live a long life (Gn 5:3-5, 25-27).

고린도전서 15장 51-54절의 말씀을 보자. 육신이 주 안에서 죽은 자는 마지막 나팔(일곱째 나팔) 소리에 신령한 영으로 다시 살고, 육체를 가진 우리는 변화함으로 죽을 것이 죽지 않고 썩을 것이 썩지 않는다고 하였다. 이 말은 영(靈)만을 두고 한 말이 아니며, 영과 육에 대한 말씀이다. 계시록 20장 4-6절에는 하나님의 말씀으로 인해 목 베임을 당한 영들과 오늘날 우리 살아남은 자들이 그리스도와 함께 첫째 부활에 참예하여 천 년 동안 왕 노릇 한다고 하였다. 이는 영만 두고 하신 말씀이 아니요, 육신인 사람에게도 해당한다. 아담과 므두셀라도 약 천 년 가까이 살았으니(창 5:3-5, 25-27), 죄 사함 받은 사람이 장수한다는 말은 믿을 만하다.

The Kingdom of Heaven and Eternal Life Believers will Attain

Are the kingdom of heaven and the eternal life believers will attain physical or spiritual? The answer is both.

However, since eternal life is not yet visible in the physical world, even if people believe it exists, they must wait to see it. No one can present it saying, “This is eternal life.”

However, those who carry out a life of faith based on the Bible believe in the word of God (regarding heaven and eternal life).

믿는 자가 얻는 천국과 영생은 육적인 것인가, 영적인 것인가? 영적인 것도 있고 육적인 것도 있다 할 것이다. 하나 영생은 아직 육적 세상에서 눈으로 볼 수 있는 것이 없으므로, 믿는다 할지라도 두고 볼 일이다. 왜냐하면 ‘영생은 이것이다.’ 하고 내어놓을 수 없기 때문이다. 그러나 성경을 기준하여 신앙하는 사람은 성경이 말한 하나님의 말씀(천국과 영생)을 믿는 것이다.
